With less than two months before the red carpet is rolled out for international and regional stars, the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is inviting local volunteers to help run the emirate’s glittering annual gala this December.

Registration has opened for DIFF’s popular volunteer programme, open to all UAE nationals and residents over the age of 18, to support operations in marketing, media, administration, box office, red carpet ushers and event management over the eight-day festival.

The film fest’s director of human resources & administration, Mohammed Alhousani, said more than 600 volunteers took part last year, dedicating more than 5,000 hours to the star studded event.

As well as building their skills and CVs, volunteers can also enjoy the latest film premieres and will receive networking opportunities, a letter of recommendation and a certificate of appreciation from DIFF.

Applications for the volunteer program are open now at www.diff.ae. Those successful will be invited to an orientation session in November, 2017.
