Marriott International has announced plans to expand its presence in Morocco with the debut of five brands and seven new properties by the end of 2027, adding more than 800 rooms across the country.

The expansion will introduce Four Points by Sheraton, Moxy Hotels, Residence Inn by Marriott, Autograph Collection Hotels, and AC Hotels by Marriott to the Moroccan market.

The move forms part of the company’s wider strategy to diversify its brand portfolio and strengthen its position in key growth markets. Marriott currently operates 10 hotels across six brands in Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakesh, Fes, and Tamuda Bay, offering over 1,700 rooms.

“Morocco continues to be a key growth market in the region for Marriott International,” said Ronny Maier, Regional Vice President for Southern Europe and Northwest Africa. “The planned introduction of these brands reaffirms our commitment to supporting Morocco’s dynamic tourism sector and economic development. It will allow us to better serve the evolving needs of travellers, offer more experiences to our Marriott Bonvoy members, and contribute to job creation and hospitality excellence across the country.”

Among the upcoming openings are Four Points by Sheraton Casablanca Bouskoura in 2026, Moxy Casablanca and Residence Inn by Marriott Casablanca in 2027, and Amerruk Marrakech, Autograph Collection, in 2026. AC by Marriott Casablanca La Corniche is also expected to open in 2027.

Other additions include Villa Sahrai Casablanca, a member of Design Hotels, due to open later this year, and the Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort, which will open in early 2026 with 250 rooms, multiple dining options, and beachfront access.

Le Méridien Casablanca, which recently opened, has joined Marriott’s portfolio, blending Parisian heritage with Moroccan style through contemporary design and culinary experiences.

In addition to new openings, Marriott is investing in renovations across several existing properties. The Ritz-Carlton Rabat, Dar Es Salam will introduce “The Retreat” in 2026, a private enclave featuring 24 villas, each with a private pool, while Le Méridien N’Fis in Marrakesh is undergoing a full refurbishment. Marriott Fès Jnan Palace has also launched new dining venues, including a Spanish-inspired restaurant and a modern lounge.

“Our new openings and renovations reflect our commitment to elevating the guest experience across Morocco,” Maier added. “They highlight our dedication to design, culture, and innovation, offering travellers more distinctive destinations and memorable stays.”
