Bahrain has inaugurated the Gateway Gulf Forum 2025 in Manama under the patronage of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, bringing together more than 200 regional and international decision makers to discuss strategic investment and connectivity initiatives in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The two-day event, which runs from 2-3 November, focuses on infrastructure development, trade facilitation, logistics, and regional collaboration. Participants include government officials, business leaders and investors from the GCC, Europe, Asia and North America.

Speakers highlighted the importance of investment in transport networks, digital infrastructure and energy to support regional growth. Delegates discussed ways to enhance trade flows, create cross-border partnerships and attract foreign direct investment.

Bahraini officials said the forum aims to position the kingdom as a central hub for commerce, investment and logistics in the Gulf. Panel discussions explored opportunities for private sector participation in regional mega-projects and ways to streamline regulatory processes.

Organisers said the event also provides a platform for networking and deal-making, fostering collaboration between governments and the private sector. Experts said the forum could help accelerate projects that improve connectivity across the GCC and strengthen economic resilience.

With the Gulf region focusing on diversification, infrastructure and investment promotion, forums like Gateway Gulf 2025 are seen as critical to enhancing regional cooperation and positioning the GCC as a competitive global hub.
