Dubai schools can offer remote learning on Monday, March 11 if they were damaged by heavy rain over the weekend, says the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

Unstable weather and heavy rain caused flooding, damage and disruption across the city on Saturday, with people advised to stay inside and traffic delays observed.

In the event of the rain having caused damage to school buildings or property, education authorities said private schools, nurseries and universities may offer more flexible education patterns.

Temperatures will rise, and it will be humid at night and Monday morning, with the possibility of fog in some coastal and inland areas.

Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally becoming active, moving southeast to northeast at speeds ranging from 20 to 40 kmph.

Wave conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman are expected to be light to moderate.
