Hajj 2023 Covid rules
Health rules for pilgrims during the holy pilgrimage state that participants should not suffer from chronic or infectious diseases.
The news comes after Saudi Arabia confirmed it will no longer impose limits on the number of pilgrims it allows this year.
Age limits and travel restrictions are to be lifted this year, said Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq al-Rabiah.
Last year around 900,000 pilgrims were welcomed to Saudi Arabia’s holiest cities, down from around 2.5m before the pandemic.
Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has announced that the Kingdom would scrap all age requirements for pilgrims, after three years of restrictions to curb a possible spread of COVID-19.
