Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways have announced a major expansion of their partnership with the launch of codeshare flights to 19 destinations, strengthening connectivity across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

The new routes will be available for travel from October 26, 2025, with tickets going on sale on October 21, 2025.

The expanded agreement enables seamless connections for passengers through Hamad International Airport in Doha and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

The partnership opens new opportunities for travellers across both networks. Kenya Airways customers can now book codeshare flights between Nairobi and Doha, and continue onward to 10 destinations through Qatar Airways’ global network, including Bahrain, Colombo, Islamabad, Karachi, Malé, Singapore, and Tokyo Narita.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways customers gain access to eight destinations served by Kenya Airways, such as Lilongwe, Livingstone, Juba, Nampula, Ndola, and Victoria Falls.

The collaboration allows smoother travel between Africa’s emerging markets and Qatar Airways’ more than 170 global destinations, reinforcing Doha’s position as a key global hub.

Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, said: “We are pleased with the significant progress made in just a few months since the partnership initiated with Kenya Airways, and this enhancement is a testament of the collaborative efforts which further strengthens our presence in Kenya and the African continent.

“The recent addition of Qatar Airways’ third daily flight to Nairobi also serves as another cornerstone of this partnership that is driven by strong demand from passengers seeking reliable and seamless connectivity.”

Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer of Kenya Airways, said: “We are excited to embark on this new chapter of our partnership with Qatar Airways.

“This partnership will significantly enhance connectivity especially across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, expanding our flight offerings, and opening up a world of new destinations for our customers to explore.”

The two airlines will continue to strengthen cooperation beyond passenger services, including airport operations, lounges, sustainability initiatives, and procurement.

Future phases of the partnership will extend to network development, cargo, aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

Privilege Club members will also be able to earn Avios on codeshare flights operated by Kenya Airways, expanding the value of the airlines’ frequent flyer programmes.

The enhanced partnership underscores both airlines’ shared commitment to supporting Africa’s aviation growth — one of the world’s fastest-expanding air travel regions.

It also cements the Qatar national carrier’s role in connecting key African business and leisure hubs with the Gulf, while reinforcing Kenya Airways’ position as a leading East African carrier.
