Ahmad Al Ahmad is the founder of Cord Blood Bank UAE, Future Health Biobank GCC.
Born in Jordan and raised in Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Al Ahmad studied at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon and the University of Nottingham Science Park, UK, before relocating to Dubai, UAE in 2014 where he successfully established the first GMP laboratory for stem cell processing and storage in the UAE for Future Health.
Al Ahmad was one the first to provide residents and citizens of the Middle East with dual storage for maximum security in the UK, Switzerland and Dubai. In 2023, he opened the first and only GMP, cleanroom graded facility in the UAE with the ability to duplicate and manufacture stem cells, as well as store in a state-of-the-art cryogenic biobank.
With a revolutionary approach to science and technology, he changed the dynamics of the stem cells industry in the region by spearheading the development of an advanced laboratory. With precisely controlled environmental conditions, the cleanroom facility minimizes contamination risks to protect people and assets, with technological infrastructure that adheres to stringent quality standards.
His passion for stem cells and their success in treating patients across a wide range of diseases has fuelled the expansion of Future Health Biobank across the Middle East, including Dubai, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman, with plans to open in Egypt and Hong Kong.
