FVC.COM goes virtual

First Virtual Communications (FVC.COM) is demonstrating its latest web conferencing and online collaboration product, Click to Meet Express, at this year’s Gitex.

Tejari touts its latest B2B portal

Local business-to-business (B2B) marketplace, Tejari, is using Gitex to unveil a new portal, called myTejari. The solution enables both buyers and suppliers to create their own personalised marketplaces and receive up-to-the-minute information via SMS or e-mail.

DNRD upgrades site for Gitex

The Department of Naturalisation & Residency (DNRD), the government agency that brought its e-Gate solution to Gitex last year, has revamped its web site for this year’s show. DNRD will be demonstrating its upgraded online presence, which includes an integrated payment engine, on the e-Government Department’s stand in hall 6.

Al Faris offers e-biz solutions

Al-Faris Information Technologies will be bringing its range of e-biz solutions to Gitex. Designed to be scalable and innovative, the company’s products are built on best-of-breed technology.

EHDF pitches outsourced e-hosting

DataFort and eHosting will be updating visitors to this year’s Gitex on the two companies consolidation into one managed hosting and IT security company, called eHosting DataFort (EHDF). At the same time, the new company will be promoting its various solutions and its ability to design, build and manage IT infrastructures.

Bayt promises big bang for Gitex

Bayt.com is once again attending Gitex to build on its reputation as one of the region’s leading online recruitment portals. At the time of going to press, the company remained tight lipped over what visitors to the show can expect, but it promises the “type of non-conventional big bang it creates year after year.”

e-learning reveals New Horizons

New Horizons and its sister companies are planning to showcase their multitude of training solutions at this year’s show. The training provider will focus on four main areas – technical courses, e-learning applications, application-specific learning material and long-term career progression programmes.

e-Government seeks feedback

Dubai e-Government Department has enlarged its presence at Gitex in order to play host to its sister departments. Visitors to its stand in hall 6 will be able to drop by and see how far the 30 or so government agencies have progressed in developing online services.

Mindware showcases products

Mindware FZ LLC will be demonstrating a wide range of solutions at this year’s Gitex as it looks to bring its numerous customers up to speed on its multitude of IT offerings.

ComGuard talks web security

IT security solutions provider, ComGuard, will be attending Gitex through Dubai Internet City’s (DIC) Community Zone. Once there, the vendor will spend the five days of the show raising brand awareness and generating interest in its range of solutions.

Comtrust offers end-to-end e-biz solutions

Last year, Comtrust attended Gitex as an infrastructure provider. However, having spent 12 months developing, launching and implementing a wide range of commercial offerings, the Etisalat division will attend this year’s show as a fully-fledged end-to-end e-business provider. As such, the company’s focus throughout the five-day event will be on solutions, rather than stand alone products.

DIC community zone dominates

Dubai Internet City (DIC) is set to dominate Dubai World Trade Centre’s (DWTC’s) new Sheikh Rashid Hall as it plays host to the DIC Community Zone. The 1200m¦ area will house 40 DIC business partners over the five-day event, giving them a platform from which to entice show visitors with their various products and services.
