Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced road closures on January 28 and 29. The affected roads will remain closed from 5 PM until 12 AM, due to weather conditions and coincide with events at the Coca-Cola arena.
Alternative routes are suggested; Al Wasl street, Al Meydan street and Al Khail road.

- Al Badaa St.
- Sheikh Zayed Road at the intersection with the Financial Centre station.
RTA alerted the public towards usage of the metro as a more efficient way of commuting.
Emirates across the UAE have been facing unstable weather over the last week, several cities faced hail and lowered temperatures, most saw a downpour of rain causing bad road conditions due to puddles and floods.
The UAE authorities announced their readiness for weather related emergencies and are issuing guidelines, alerts and instructions to ensure public safety. Individuals are urged to follow instructions and guidelines, and only keep up with alerts and notifications from official sources.
Schools across the UAE have also been affected, some schools have dispersed students earlier than usual, others have implemented remote learning.
Concerts and events across the UAE have also been postponed or faced cancellation due to unstable weather conditions. Global Village remained closed for two days and is expected to function as normal on Friday.
