Saudi Arabia has announced the first day of Eid Al Fitr will be Wednesday, April 10 after the crescent moon was not spotted on Monday.

It means that Ramadan will last for 30 days in the Kingdom this year.

It means that Eid Al Fitr will officially begin on Wednesday, April 10 across the Kingdom.

The Royal Court issued a statement announcing that the Crescent Department of the Supreme Court has decided that Tuesday, Ramadan 30, 1445 Hijri, corresponding to April 9, 2024, marks the completion of Ramadan, and Wednesday Shawwal 1, 1445 Hijri, corresponding to April 10, 2024, is the first day of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.

On this occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, the Supreme Court congratulates the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, all citizens, residents, and Muslims, praying to Allah Almighty to accept the Muslims’ fasting, night prayers, and all the good deeds, and to preserve the Kingdom’s security, stability, and prosperity.

Previously, Saudi Arabia announced dates for holidays in the private sector.

The Human Resources and Social Development shared a statement on social media saying the holiday will begin on Tuesday, April 9.

As per the tweet, a four-day will be given to private sector employees in the Kingdom.

Taking into account a Friday-Saturday weekend, it means workers in the Kingdom will enjoy a five-day break from Tuesday, April 9 to Saturday, April 13.
