Spinneys supermarket group eyes 2024 IPO: Report

Spinneys Dubai is planning an IPO in 2024, according to a Reuters report.

The retail group is the franchisee of the popular supermarket chain in the UAE and Oman and is looking towards an IPO in Q2 2024, Reuters reported citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

Spinneys Dubai is owned by Albwardy Investment and is consulting with Rothschild & Co. to advise on any initial public offering plans.

Red Sea Global celebrates first flight into Saudi Arabia’s newest international airport

Red Sea Global (RSG) celebrated the first flight to its Red Sea International Airport (RSI), which touched down on the new runway on Thursday.

Departing from King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh each Thursday and Saturday, the SAUDIA flight, which takes under two hours, marks the start of a new twice-weekly service.

The flight returns to Riyadh later the same day.

Mahzooz announces new prize system for bigger weekly payouts

Mahzooz, the UAE’s premier weekly draw known for its massive payouts, has announced the introduction of a new prize structure.

After 146 weekly live draws and over AED457 million awarded to more than 250,000 global winners, Mahzooz is gearing up for a shift.

The enhanced payout system introduces five prize categories in the grand draw and guarantees three prizes in the raffle draw.

Dubai Police issue traffic fine warning after 3 lane violation deaths and 107 accidents

Dubai Police have issued a fine warning to motorists, following three deaths and more than 529,700 lane violations in eight months.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, highlighted that failure to adhere to mandatory traffic lanes resulted in 107 accidents over the past eight months.

These accidents led to the tragic loss of three lives, with 75 individuals sustaining varied injuries: two with severe injuries, 44 with moderate injuries, and 29 with minor ones.

Dubai announces tourist attraction road sign update

Dubai has announced a major update to the way it issues road sign permits.

It means major tourist attractions, health facilities and transport hubs can apply to have road signs created directing traffic towards them

Applications can be submitted online and will be approved following site visits by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
