The UAE has announced a paid holiday for the public and private sector to celebrate Eid Al Etihad 2025.
Government departments and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) revealed that Monday and Tuesday, December 1 and 2 will be official holidays.
Officials moved the holiday to the beginning of the week to create a long weekend for citizens and residents.

To maximise the break, strategic booking can create a nine-day holiday by using just three days of annual leave.
UAE employees with leave allowance remaining at the end of the year can create an extended holiday with a tactical leave request.
Book a holiday from Wednesday, December 3 to Friday, December 5 to create the longest holiday with least amount of annual leave.
This will create a nine-day break from Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, December 7 and only uses up three days of leave.
