The Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority has announced the launch of the global exhibition and conference season, a new annual calendar running from October to May that positions the Kingdom as one of the world’s fastest-growing business events markets.
The season will see Saudi Arabia host a diverse lineup of major international exhibitions and conferences, marking a peak period of economic, cultural, and industry activity across the country’s rapidly expanding events sector.
Record-breaking season of events
This year’s season began with a strong line-up of high-profile events including the Riyadh International Book Fair, the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition, and FIBO Arabia, each attracting large audiences.
Momentum will continue in the coming months with key exhibitions such as:
- Global Health Exhibition
- Saudi Build
- Cityscape Global
- Future Investment Initiative (FII)
- Fortune Global Forum
- CoMotion Global
- TOURISE Global Tourism Summit
- International MICE Summit (IMS25)
Rapid growth across the sector
Saudi Arabia has emerged as one of the fastest-growing event markets among G20 countries, with the number of business events reaching over 17,000 in a single year — an all-time record for the region.
This growth reflects the Kingdom’s robust infrastructure, strong regulatory framework, and continued government support for the business events ecosystem.
The sector also benefits from a highly skilled national workforce. Saudi professionals now account for nearly 20 per cent of global Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) holders, one of the highest rates worldwide, thanks to extensive training and development programmes.
Expanding infrastructure
Saudi Arabia is undergoing a major expansion of its exhibition and conference infrastructure, with more than one million square metres of additional space set to be added by 2030.
On the international front, the Kingdom has attracted more than 20 global brands and events in recent years and welcomed the opening of nearly 10 international representative offices for leading global companies and exhibitions.
These achievements reflect the confidence of international partners in Saudi Arabia’s business environment and underline the sector’s sustainable, long-term growth.
Strengthening Saudi Arabia
Through this year’s global exhibition and conference season, the authority aims to cement Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional and global hub for major events, while attracting further foreign investment and international partnerships.
The initiative also seeks to provide citizens and residents with diverse opportunities to engage with world-class exhibitions, forums, and conferences that cater to a wide range of interests and industries.
