Leading Indian airline IndiGo announced the launch of daily direct flights to Jeddah from India’s IT capital Bengaluru.

The new service will commence from September 30, the airline said.

This route will offer a convenient option for business, leisure, as well as religious travel, it said.

The direct flight will also offer enhanced accessibility to pilgrims travelling to Mecca, with Jeddah serving as a primary gateway for Hajj and Umrah journeys.

“As India continues to expand its daily connectivity with the Middle East, this route marks a significant step in deepening bilateral relationships, boosting tourism, and supporting trade and investment between these two dynamic regions,” IndiGo said in a media statement.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said the new daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Jeddah will create greater opportunities for cultural and business exchange.

“It also meets the growing demand from visitors and the Indian community in Saudi Arabia,” he said.

With the launch of this flight, Jeddah will be connected to 6 destinations in India via 49 flights a week, offering even more travel options.
