Saudi Arabian Airlines, the kingdom’s national carrier, said it is buying four Falcon private jets for $200 million from Dassault Aviation SA and will start a joint center to service Falcons in the Middle East region.

Saudia Private Aviation, a unit dedicated to wealthy travelers, will receive all four jets by mid 2011, Saudi Arabian Airlines said in an emailed statement.

The Saudia Private Aviation unit currently operates six Hawker 400XPs.

The carrier, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, announced yesterday it received the first of eight A330 planes from Toulouse, France based Airbus SAS.

Saudi Arabian Airlines plans to increase its fleet with 58 aircraft made by Airbus. The airline will buy or lease 35 A320 jets, 15 A321s and 8 A330s.
