Saudi Arabia has around 965,000 workers with a salary of SR10,000 ($2,660) or more, according to official statistics.
Data published by the Kingdom’s General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI) highlighted the importance of the private sector in offering opportunities for jobseekers in the Kingdom.
The GOSI report said 708,000 workers in the Kingdom have a salary of more than SR10,000 between April and June of this year.

The figure represents 73.3 per cent of employees in the pay grade, with around 256,000 workers in the bracket within the public sector.
Published data also revealed that more than one million people in Saudi Arabia earn between SR5,000 and SR,10,000 a year.
The number of people earning more than SR10,000 has increased by more than 66.8 per cent in the past five years, showing the economic prosperity in the Kingdom.
Riyadh is further enhancing its position as the economic capital of Saudi Arabia, with more than half of the upper pay bracket workers based there.
