Saudi Arabia, Thailand expected to sign investment pacts at business forum meet today

The meet, organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers, is to review and discuss investment opportunities available in both countries and encourage commercial partnerships between the Saudi and Thai business sectors

Several bilateral investments and commercial partnership agreements are expected to be signed between Saudi Arabia and Thailand at a bilateral business forum meet, being held on Monday.

The meet, organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers, is to review and discuss investment opportunities available in both countries, encourage the commercial partnerships between the Saudi and Thai business sectors and discuss prospects for cooperation in select economic sectors.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand Jurin Laksanawisit and Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, besides as many as 150 representatives of Thai companies and a number of Saudi business owners are to participate in the forum.

The Saudi-Thai bilateral trade during 2017- 2021 amounted to about SAR 130 billion.

In 2021the bilateral trade was to the tune of about SAR 26.8 billion, up by 29 percent from that of the previous year.
