Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition sees business deals worth $504mn in two days

The event hosted more than 30 prominent international speakers in panel discussions, focusing on food security, investments and innovation in food production, and the food and beverages industry

A total of 13 contracts and eight MoUs worth over AED544 million were signed at Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE) on Wednesday.

This takes the total value of deals signed at the event to AED1.85 billion ($504 million).

The first edition of the three-day exhibition, organised by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, will end on Thursday.

The event hosted more than 30 prominent international speakers in panel discussions, focusing on 3 main topics: food security, investments and innovation in food production, and the food and beverages industry.

The event also featured a global buyers’ programme, aimed to bolster partnerships within the supply chain.

It also hosted the world gourmet show, ADIFE innovation awards, UAE national coffee championships, and the international latte art championship, which was held for the first time in its history outside the Italian city of Milan.
