Revealed: Most expensive Dubai schools in 2023

As per a statement by the KHDA, the fee increase was approved considering various factors which included Dubai’s economic situation and the operational costs of private schools.

However, the school fee increases only apply if the institution maintains or increases inspection ratings.

“The rate by which schools can increase fees is tied to each school’s most recent inspection rating from the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau,” the statement read. Schools that have dropped in inspection ratings will not be allowed to implement fee increases.

A few schools in Dubai will raise school fees up to 6 percent from September, following the KHDA’s announcement.

The hike in tuition fees for private schools in Dubai come after a freeze for the past three academic years.

On Wednesday last week, the KHDA issued a school fees fact sheet, which details the costs of over 200 institutions in Dubai for the next academic year.

Around 20 schools, with a Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) rating of ‘outstanding’ are the most expensive schools in the emirate. The DSIB is a unit established by the KHDA, which is in charge of rating schools – from ‘Very Weak’ to ‘Outstanding.’
