The deputy governor of Kuwait’s central bank, Nabeel al-Mannae, has resigned, several central bank officials said on Tuesday.“Mannae left last month at his own request,” one official told Reuters on condition of anonymity, adding that a successor was yet to be appointed.
A banking executive said Mannae had planned to leave for some time to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
The Central Bank of Kuwait, the only Gulf Arab state without a dollar peg, is headed by governor Sheikh Salem Abdul-Aziz al-Sabah. (Reuters)
