UAE conglomerate ETA Group of Companies today unveiled a AED 2.4 billion ($653.6 million) residential and commercial development called Dubai Lifestyle City.
The project will be located at the Dubailand development on the outskirts of the city will cover a area of over four million square feet and aims at the creation of a self-sufficient lifestyle community surrounded by hotels, spas, sports academies and other amenities, including a shopping mall that sprawls over 100,000 square feet.
The entire development will be digitally connected together by a data centre that will manage all communications systems including telephone, cable, satellite TV, audio and security.
ETA has tied up with a number of partners on the project, including JW Marriott hotels, IMG Sports Academies and US network technology giant Cisco.
US designer Tony Ashai has been brought in to design Dubai Lifestyle City in the Tuscany style of the renaissance period.

Yesterday Dubai corporate giant Tatweer announced it is to build a AED 10 billion ($2.7 billion) shopping mall in the Bawadi mega hospitality and leisure project located at Dubailand.
Other projects under development at Dubailand include Dubai Heritage Vision, Dubai Outlet City, Dubai Sport City, Motor City, Falcon City of Wonders and Al Barrari. Polo, City of Arabia and Al Kaheel are also in the initial stages of execution.
