Coronavirus has accelerated the region’s digital health adoption with teleconsultations and filing prescriptions becoming the new norm during the months of lockdown, explained Brandon Rowberry – CEO Digital Health, Aster DM Healthcare.
In an AB In Focus interview, Rowberry talks about the economic benefits of teleconsultations and commends the UAE’s health regulatory authorities for their progressiveness and rapid adaption to the digital healthcare evolution over the past two years.
And while there are still some adoption challenges when it comes to healthtech, especially in the older generations, Rowberry said the future of digital healthcare “is a lot more of some of what we’re seeing today, meaning a lot more of the opportunities to do things remotely, a lot more of the opportunities to integrate data and information in ways that we haven’t had an opportunity before.”
