Luxury hospitality company Aman has announced its first standalone branded residential project, Aman Residences, Tokyo.
The residences are located in the new Azabudai Hills development in central Tokyo which opened in November 2023.
The initial 91 apartments planned for sale have been fully purchased by owners, securing record premium prices per square foot for the market. Owners have now moved into the completed residences and have access to Aman’s signature lifestyle offerings.

The Aman Residences sit within the tallest residential tower in Japan, the Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower, designed by acclaimed architecture firm Pelli Clarke & Partners. The residences occupy the top eleven floors of the tower.
Renowned design firm Yabu Pushelberg crafted the interiors, drawing inspiration from natural elements like land, sea and sky while incorporating Aman’s aesthetic blending Asian influences with European styles.

Upon arriving, owners are welcomed through a private entrance and dedicated elevators opening directly into the 11th floor lobby. A suspended sculpture floats above a reflective pond, aimed at reconnecting residents to nature.
In addition to the apartments, owners can enjoy amenities like a lounge, bar, dining room, tea room, library, media room, games room, 25-metre pool, spa, sauna, steam room, gym, and more.

The design emphasises natural materials and earthy tones to evoke serenity, with ample greenery and references to traditional Japanese influences. Artworks throughout provide splashes of colour. Aman said the property sets a new global standard for luxury urban living.
This launch builds on Aman’s branded residences presence, which began in 1988 with their Amanpuri resort. They now have 13 residence locations with 10 more planned in the next five years, including upcoming projects in Bangkok, Beverly Hills, Miami, and Japan.
The Tokyo residences quickly sold out initial offerings, with remaining units from a second phase now on sale.

The new project comes on the heels of Aman announcing its first Dubai location in an exclusive to Arabian Business last month, expected to be the city’s most expensive hotel. The beachfront Aman Dubai will incorporate a spa, club, restaurants, and ultra-premium branded homes when complete.
Dubai is considered the world’s top city for branded residences, with more than 50 projects and massive growth in recent years. Aman aims to capitalise on the trend by bringing its signature luxury take on urban living to global hotspots.
