Swiss-headquartered luxury hospitality group Aman announced its first Dubai location on Monday, the group’s CEO told Arabian Business. Aman Dubai will feature ultra-premium hospitality offerings in the prime coastal location of Jumeirah 2 which will be the ‘most expensive hotel in Dubai.’
In an exclusive interview, Chairman and CEO Vlad Doronin confirmed that Aman Dubai is set to bag the title of the most expensive hotel in the city, akin to the group’s renowned property, Aman New York.
“We are really doing a lot, it is not expensive because we want it to be expensive but the point is, it is a very big investment into this property so we need to get our return,” he said.
Aman Dubai to feature luxury hotel and homes
The development will feature a luxury hotel with an expansive private beach, exclusive branded residences, an Aman Spa spanning 2000 sqm, Aman Club and several F&B offerings.
Doronin highlighted a unique feature of Aman Dubai that is currently “non-existent” in the city – a nine acre garden over the water by its exclusive beachfront location.
“We want to create an eco-environment, quite a big one for Dubai because there is a lot of concrete here, so we’re creating a nine acre park on the water, which does not exist here,” he revealed.
Currently in the pre-development stage, real estate investment company Bright Start in collaboration with Aman Group will work on the project with delivery offered by UAE’s H&H Development.
Why Dubai?
“When I bought the Aman group, I had a strategic decision to convert Aman to an urban city development,” Doronin explained. Following this, the hospitality group opened locations in Tokyo and New York which he describes as “a very successful hotel right now.”
The Dubai project has been a consideration for several years, “we had been looking for companies and I’m glad we finally found the best one,” he said in recognition of his partnerships with Bright Star and H&H Developments.
In line with the vision, Aman is currently constructing two hotels in Miami and Los Angeles which is also set to feature branded residences.

Doronin highlighted his personal history with the UAE which began with his first visit in 1991, “I am very pleased and happy to see how the country has developed.”
He hinted that in the past “something was missing” but now with a combination of “great location and great partnerships,” Aman Dubai is finally in the works.
“We are going to bring great luxury here, Doronin boasted, claiming that Aman Dubai is set to bring “real quality and lifestyle.”
Addressing Aman Dubai’s branded residences which will be limited in number, Doronin said that the group is going to be extremely selective about its clientele.
“We have a relatively small quantity of residences, we are not selling hundreds, we will be very limited and private,” he explained.
Looking ahead, Doronin hinted at Aman’s rapid expansion, with a robust pipeline of projects set to be announced in the coming years. The brand envisions growth across major cities worldwide, aligning with the group’s commitment to providing unique, ultra-premium and luxurious spaces in places including Beverly Hills, AlUla, Diriyah and more.
“Dubai is one of the cities that is strategically very important right now in the Middle East. The UAE, Saudi Arabia as a whole are very important right now in the region. They are the big players and moving economies. So, I want to establish myself here and expand to different countries in the Middle East,” Doronin concluded.
Further details regarding the opening date and potential price points are yet to be revealed.
