Lulu Retail reached a landmark figure of 250 stores in six GCC nations with the announcement that it has opened two new express stores in Saudi Arabia.
The new stores are located in Jabal Omar in Makkah and Sahara Mall in Riyadh and increase Lulu’s presence in Kingdon to 59 stores.
The openings are part of Lulu’s ongoing expansion plan, following the addition of 12 new stores in the first nine months of 2024 and a further nine stores opened post-period, taking Lulu’s total stores to 250.
The Sahara Mall Express store spans approximately 1,500 square meters and offers a diverse range of products across multiple categories, including grocery, fresh produce and snacks.
The Jabal Omar store covers approximately 1,200 square meters and provides consumers shopping experience across multiple categories.
In a statement filed with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the company said it “remains on track for further store openings planned in 2025”.
Founded in 1974, Lulu Retail recently went public with a successful IPO. It raised gross proceeds of AED6.32bn ($1.72bn), making it the largest share offer of 2024.
