Dubai Municipality has signed a partnership agreement with Emirates airline to offer discounts on the prices of tickets for municipality employees and their families.

Under the deal, Emirates will offer municipality employees and close family members discounts on economy class tickets and business class on all destinations covered by the airline.

An additional 10kg luggage per passenger will also be allowed for municipality employees in economy and business class.

According to its website, Dubai Municipality employs more than 11,000 staff.

Marwan bin Bayat Al Falasi, director of Human Resources Department, Dubai Municipality, and Mausouma Al Mohsen, director of sales, Emirates, signed the agreement, state news agency WAM reported.

It said Dubai Municipality employees will receive offers and privileges of Emirates by e-mail, informing them of the booking process and reservation channels available for the privileges offered by Emirates.
