Dubai taxi service, Hala has recorded a 36 percent growth in trips in the first six months of this year, as compared to the same period in 2022. Additionally, new users saw an increase of 21 percent.
CEO Khaled Nuseibeh said, “Hala’s performance has been tremendous this year, all thanks to the team’s hard work and dedication. March 2023 was our busiest month so far this year and we saw a 60 percent increase in reliability score, compared to the same month last year.”
To accommodate the increase in demand, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to fuel operations with the addition of 1,000 cars by the end of 2023.
Hala, in partnership with Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), will onboard 600 cars for use during evening peak hours starting this month. This will be introduced following analysis of customer behaviour and traffic patterns.
Hala’s focus on customer experience
“To further amplify our operations to respond to the rising demand for e-hailing, we continue to carefully assess user behaviour to ensure reliability and great customer experience. Since launch, our customer ratings have gone up to 4.88 as of June 2023. As we gear up for a busy Q4, we are committed to working closely with the RTA and all partners to improve readiness and keep the city moving,” Nuseibeh added.
Since the beginning of this year, Hala Home has trained over 15,000 captains and carried out several workshops.
Hala reiterates its core mission to elevate customer experience and “keep Dubai connected.” The service currently manages over 21,000 captains with a fleet of 12,000 cars.
