Miraval Resorts & Spas is set to open its first international property in early 2026 with the launch of Miraval The Red Sea, an adults-only, all-inclusive wellness resort on Shura Island at The Red Sea destination in Saudi Arabia.

The resort will span around three million square feet along the Red Sea coastline, surrounded by mangroves, lagoons and coastal waters. It forms part of The Red Sea’s wider vision to establish one of the world’s leading regenerative tourism destinations, with a focus on sustainability, conservation and responsible development.

Designed by Foster + Partners with interiors by Rockwell Group, Miraval The Red Sea will combine biophilic architecture, organic forms and natural materials inspired by coral reefs, desert landscapes and mangrove ecosystems. The design is intended to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces while supporting energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.

The property will feature 180 guestrooms, suites and villas, each designed as a private sanctuary with terraces or decks overlooking the surrounding landscape. Wellness-focused details will include meditation cushions, Himalayan singing bowls and curated daily itineraries tailored to each guest’s interests.

As a fully all-inclusive resort, every stay will include meals, beverages, wellness activities and a daily resort credit of SAR 700, which can be used towards spa treatments, private sessions or selected experiences. Programming will span mindfulness, fitness, creative activities, outdoor exploration and spa therapies, guided by Miraval Specialists.

Wellness facilities will include a Serenity Centre for meditation and yoga, a Body Mindfulness Centre for movement and fitness, and an Aquatic Centre offering activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding. Guests will also have access to the Miraval Challenge Course, designed to build confidence, resilience and teamwork through guided physical and mental challenges.

At the heart of the resort, the Life in Balance Spa will cover 3,000 square metres and include 39 treatment rooms, making it the largest spa facility on Shura Island. Facilities will include vitality pools, hammams, salt rooms, sensory showers and private wellness suites, alongside a Majlis-inspired space for shared wellness experiences.

Culinary offerings will reflect Miraval’s wellness philosophy and will be led by Executive Chef Hamdy Hassan. Dining options will range from all-day dining and light meals to sunset tapas and interactive culinary workshops focused on nutrition and mindful eating.

Miraval The Red Sea will be part of The Red Sea destination, developed by Red Sea Global, which plans to deliver 50 resorts and more than 8,000 hotel rooms by 2030. The destination is powered by renewable energy and has capped visitor numbers to help protect local ecosystems while delivering long-term environmental and community benefits.
