The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina has announced the re-opening of Italian restaurant Bussola at the resort complex following renovation.
The restaurant, which used to be associated with Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort, still features its original double-decker layout, with formal dining downstairs and a casual, family atmosphere in the rooftop pizzeria.
The restaurant’s new manager, Gianluca Cugnetto, said the restaurant felt different since it had re-opened as part of the Westin property.
“Regular patrons will still receive the same warm welcome and service they have come to associate with the restaurant in the past,” he said. “But we have taken Bussola to a new level of dining pleasure. Apart from the trademark service and the richness of our cuisine, there are many new additions, including creative touches, and an updated menu,” he added.
The Bussola kitchen is presided over by Sardinian Chef de Cuisine Corrado Pani, whose speciality is a combinations of Mediterranean and northern Italian cooking styles. The new menu at the restaurant now features a selection of signature dishes including beef tartare, orange martini scallops, Purslane salad and steamed tiramisu, he said.
Currently, Bussola is only open in the evenings for dinner. When formally inaugurated, however, Pani claimed that the outlet would offer “some of the most modern and creative food and beverage concepts in Dubai”.
