VFS issues ‘important notice’ for visa applicants

The application centre denies any affiliation with agents in the UAE

VFS, the visa application centre has issued an important notice for all visa applicants. The centre has clarified the visa issue process and denied any affiliation with any agents including travel companies and typing offices.

“VFS Global has no affiliation whatsoever with any agents (e.g. travel companies, typing offices, agents for flight bookings and travel insurances) in the United Arab Emirates for the provision of any visa-related advice or services to applicants,” said a new notice released by the centre.

The notice explained that the office is an authorised partner for the “provision of non-judgemental services of accepting and processing visa applications.”

It was further explained that any decision to issue or refuse a visa including the processing time is solely based on the diplomatic missions in the UAE, “VFS Global has no role or influence in the outcome of a visa application.”

Additionally, the centre does not offer visa-related evaluative advice and will not take responsibility for applicants who seek visa advice or services from agents. The centre also said that it will not be responsible for any fees paid to agents.

The centre urges travellers to seek assistance from a VFS Global staff inside the premises of the application centre who can be identified with the official uniform, badges and name tags.
