Saudi Arabia’s central bank Governor Muhammad Al Jasser said the impact of the US dollar on inflation is “exaggerated” and that the leadership of the kingdom is concerned about a rise in prices.
Al Jasser said at the moment inflation levels in the largest Arab economy were “reasonable” by international standards and that the rise was coming mainly from a global increase in food prices.
Al Jasser was speaking in an interview with CNBC Arabiya aired on Tuesday by the news network.
