Saudia completes first flight to Red Sea International Airport

Saudia has announced the commencement of flights between Red Sea International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

The maiden flight, SV1571, departed from Riyadh at 10.50am on Thursday, September 21, covering the distance in just two hours.

This flight route is scheduled to be two flights from Riyadh and the same from the Red Sea International Airport on Thursday and Saturday.

Emirates jobs: Airline woos A380 pilots with tax-free salaries and benefits packages

Emirates has announced a major recruitment drive as it looks to hire experienced pilots for its A380 service.

The airline is now inviting applications from seasoned commanders to join its Direct Entry Captains programme for its fleet of Airbus A380s.

Dubai’s City Walk announces massive expansion with 65 store debuts in 2023

This expansion will bring City Walk’s occupancy rate to 98 percent, solidifying its reputation as a vibrant mixed-use hub with over 250 stores.

Dubai has announced the UAE’s first high-speed electric scooter race.

The Federation for Micromobility and Sport and the Dubai Sports Council announced the creation of the Dubai Electric Scooter Cup, the pre-eminent showcase for e-scooter racing and micromobility potential.

As a culmination of the Year of Sustainability in the UAE, the Dubai Electric Scooter Cup will take place on December 16 and will unite the world’s best riders to race on the fastest electric scooter around the streets of Dubai.

Dubai looks to boost ties with cricket governing bodies and enhance the sport in the UAE.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of Dubai Sports Council (DSC), highlighted the prestigious status of Dubai in hosting various international championships, besides hosting the headquarters of international sports federations and organisations, thanks to the availability of all factors of success and attraction to sports championships and entities.

He also affirmed the importance of cricket and its distinctive status among the other various international sports events, which take place in the emirate annually and attract prominent groups of world stars, participants and fans from all over the world.
