Dubai’s City Walk, a design-inspired lifestyle destination managed by Merex Investment, has announced a massive expansion plan, which will see the opening of 65 new stores expected to open by the end of 2023.
This expansion will bring City Walk’s occupancy rate to 98 percent, solidifying its reputation as a vibrant mixed-use hub with over 250 stores.
Merex Investment has undertaken a strategic leasing operation over the past two years to adapt City Walk to the evolving tastes of its audience.
The destination currently boasts dedicated zones for automotive, an enhanced food and beverage offering, health and wellness facilities, and office spaces, complementing its growing residential and hospitality offerings.
Notably, 70 percent of the new stores will be situated along City Walk Boulevard.
“Our customer has changed over the past few years. In the past year alone, we have welcomed new residents to the neighbourhood and the existing residential inventory is set to grow. We also have offices in the destination, and there has been an uptick in foot traffic and dwell time. For this changing audience, we have made changes to our tenant mix,” Shahram Shamsaee, CEO of Merex Investment said, highlighting the changes made to accommodate the shifting demographics and preferences of their clientele.
City Walk’s licensed district, which already features popular establishments like Nola, L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, Baku, and Mythos, is set to welcome new additions in Q4 under the newly branded district C2.
These additions, including Brass Monkey, Rare, Primi, Nox, and Daikan Izakaya, will contribute to a diverse culinary landscape.
In the realm of health and wellness, City Walk will see the arrival of renowned athleisure brands Lululemon, Adidas, and Puma.
In addition, seven holistic wellness concepts, including Body and Mind, Circle Care Clinic, Dentaldate Dental Clinic, Dream Up, Mid Clinic, Drop10, and Contrast, will offer premium services to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
City Walk’s fashion and lifestyle offerings will also open distinctive brands such as Sophie Couture, The Giving Movement, Les Benjamins, Madly, Albeer Couture, Kataleya, and Ludivine.
The destination will also welcome lifestyle brands including Studio 971, Arclinea & Lema, NOK Home, and Forma Italy, promising elegance and functionality in interior design and personal care.
Automobile enthusiasts can anticipate an impressive collection of automotive brands, including Al Damani, TechArt, Bizzarini, JURA Store, NWTN Motors, and Brabus Middle East.
In addition, City Walk is set to enhance its mixed-use offering by introducing 22 office spaces designed for businesses and professionals.
