Companies across the Middle East are increasingly building teams and capabilities by integrating freelancers across functions and levels, an industry report said.
Skills in high demand include change management, digital transformation, sales, marketing, data and strategy, according to the ‘2025 Talent on Demand Report’ by Outsized, a leading talent-on-demand platform.

The report said independent professionals across the UAE and Saudi Arabia are earning between $300 and $1,000 per day, depending on the type of skill and experience level.
Organisations are integrating freelancers for various reasons – from execution roles to strategic project delivery, it said.
Outsized said for businesses in the MENA region, leveraging independent talent is not just a short-term trend, but a fundamental shift in how they access expertise, drive transformation, and maintain a competitive edge.
The rise of freelancers in MENA remains strong, with freelancer registrations increasing by 78 per cent in the past year, the platform said.
The report revealed that payments, business development, project management, product development, risk management and data analytics are the most in-demand skills, while consulting, financial services and tech are the sectors driving this shift.
Experienced professionals (11-15 years) earn an average of $600 per day, earnings by top skills exceed $1,000 per day, the report said.
