Dubai’s public paid parking service provider, Parkin has announced a Variable Parking Tariff Policy set to begin in March 2025.
The new policy, developed in collaboration with the Road and Transport Authority (RTA), introduces dynamic pricing across Dubai’s parking facilities, strategically designed to optimise traffic flow and parking management in high-density areas.
Parkin will designate premium parking spaces in strategic locations, including areas near public transportation infrastructure, central business districts, and major shopping destinations.
These zones will be clearly marked with dedicated signage and tariff information.

The new tariff structure will feature:
Peak Hours (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM):
- Parking: AED6 per hour
- Standard Public Parking: AED4 per hour
Off-Peak Hours (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM):
- Existing rates will remain unchanged
Free Parking:
- Overnight (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
- All day Sunday
The policy will be rolled out in two phases:
- Event-specific parking fees will commence in February 2025
- Premium Parking and Peak Hours tariffs will be implemented by end of March 2025
Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin said, “The introduction of a Variable Pricing Tariff Policy marks a recent evolution to Dubai’s regulatory parking landscape, representing a strategic step forward for both Parkin and the Emirate. This important update, aligns our operations with international standards, reflecting Dubai’s progressive approach to urban mobility and traffic management.”
“The locations for premium parking spaces were selected based on three criteria: first, ease of access to the area using public transport, such as areas within 500 meters of a metro station; second, areas with high parking occupancy during peak periods; and third, density and congestion, such as markets and commercial activity zones. It was clarified that premium parking spaces include, for example, commercial areas in parts of Deira and Bur Dubai, Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Jumeirah and Al Wasl Road and other locations,” he added.
The policy will also introduce special Event Hours tariffs during major conferences, exhibitions, festivals, and concerts to manage temporary parking demand surges.
Applicable zones will be announced following the implementation of the regulation.
