Dubai Police adds Bugatti Veyron to its supercar fleet

Super Sport version of the Veyron is the fastest street-legal production car in the world

Dubai Police has added arguably its most impressive supercar to its fleet – the Bugatti Veyron, the fastest street-legal production car in the world.

The car was unveiled in its livery on the police force’s official Twitter account, which stated: “#Dubai_Police launches its newest Super Patrol Car – Bugatti Veyron.”

The Veyron is the latest in a growing list of supercars in the Dubai Police arsenal to catch criminals.

Last year, cops unveiled a McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari FF, a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin One-77, Bentley Continental GT and Mercedes SLS.

The first supercar added to the fleet was a Lamborghini while cops in the emirates also drive the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Kia Mohave.

The Bugatti Veyron is a mid-engined sports car, designed and developed by the Volkswagen Group and manufactured in Molsheim, France by Bugatti Automobiles.

The Super Sport version of the Veyron is the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph).

It was named Car of the Decade (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear.
