The first official Dubai Fashion Week is set to hit catwalks in the Dubai Design District this week.

This official fashion event is set to become the region’s definitive fashion fixture.
Dubai Fashion Week
The first edition of DFW will feature new spaces and locations for catwalk shows, along with city-wide events that showcase both global brands and regional talents, solidifying Dubai’s position as a global fashion hub and a reference for the entire industry.
DFW builds on the successful legacy of Arab Fashion Week and will take place from March 10 to 15.
The event is expected to draw international designers, buyers, models and visitors to the UAE following Paris Fashion Week, to view Autumn Winter 2023/24 collections.
The event emphasises the TECOM Group’s commitment to establishing Dubai as a leading global creative capital and enhances the Emirate’s status as a global hub for business growth and investment.
Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3, said that the first official DFW builds on the success of Arab Fashion Week and marks a new chapter in the region’s fashion journey.
She added that the event will honour the city’s growing influence as a global fashion capital, featuring international brands and experts from around the world to gather at d3.
Al Bastaki said that d3 is the hub of the region’s creative talent, with the vision, ambition, and innovation to elevate the impact and reach of creatives globally.
Jacob Abrian, CEO of the Arab Fashion Council, expressed hope that the city will stand alongside its peers as one of the world’s leading fashion capitals.
To commemorate the first official DFW and further grow Dubai’s status as a global fashion capital, a number of exciting new initiatives will be launched during the week.
These will include the unveiling of a steering committee for DFW, a buyers committee, and a permanent designers committee.
These committees will work under the Arab Fashion Council’s supervision to ensure that DFW’s ambitious goals and vision are met and steer the future of the event in a sustainable way.
