Iconic Swiss watchmaker Rebellion Timepieces confirmed on Tuesday it would be the title partner for this year’s Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival.
The company will also be awarding each winning driver of this year’s event with their very own commemorative watch across all racing categories.
“It’s not just about winning; it’s about winning in style,” it said in a media statement, adding that ‘This year’s event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of speed and style, with Rebellion Timepieces at the helm”.
Gulf Historic is part of GP Extreme, a Dubai-based motorsports company, took its collection of historic F1 cars to the Yas Marina Circuit, organising what would become the genesis of Gulf Historic in 2017.
It celebrates the flair of motorsports with some of the most iconic cars, with their unique designs and furious engines.
Classic racing and Rebellion Timepieces unite
Rebellion Timepieces said the company will also present its inimitable range of cutting-edge watches to guests and competitors at the Dubai Autodrome.
Rebellion Timepieces and Gulf Historic share an appreciation and passion for the daring engineering and courageous driving that makes classic motor racing so uniquely wonderful, the company said.
Fans and enthusiasts in attendance at the event will have the chance to witness the Rebellion Oreca Rebellion R13 LMP1 2020 podium finisher from the 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans in action.
In addition, the event will also feature the stunning Rebellion Dakar car, providing attendees with a close look at this remarkable piece of automotive engineering.

Pierre Brice-Mena, Managing Director of GP Extreme, said: “With Rebellion Timepieces, we have a title partner that characterises the spirit of our event: bold, invigorating and stylish.”
“Through our mutual passion and love for classic motor racing, we are hugely excited to celebrate all things motor racing, giving fans and guests an experience like no other,” he added.
Alex Pesci, Owner of Rebellion Racing, said in the world of horology and motorsport, precision is paramount, and the pursuit of excellence is a shared journey.
“This collaboration is more than a sponsorship, it’s a fusion of legacies – where expertise meets horsepower, and every second counts,” Pesci said.
The 2023 edition, slated to be held in December, is already shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before, with new categories and a record number of cars already signed up.
