Metapolis, the world’s first metaverse-as-a-service (MaaS) platform, partnered with the NFT (non-fungible token) venture The Rare Antiquities and Rare FND to build and launch its museums, galleries and crowdfunding offering within ‘Rare City’.
Rare City plans to bring together museums, galleries, education, and crowdfunding to make art, learning and fundraising more accessible, while enhancing what both the real world and digital world has to offer.
“The Rare organisation is proud to partner with Metapolis and be one of the few projects they have accepted onto their metaverse platform,” Ryan Howells, founder of The Rare Antiquities Token and Rare FND, said.
“What they have built is truly way ahead of anything that currently exists in the metaverse and I can’t wait to see the end result of the combination of their brilliance and our innovative products to build a metaverse city that will truly set the trend for many to follow,” Howells said.
The Rare Antiquities (TRAT) bridges the gap between real world art and digital art by making high valued fine art and antiquities accessible to investors from around the world through NFTs.
The digital art is then made further accessible to users through fractionalisation allowing anyone to own a piece of this high-value fine art or antiquities without paying millions to do so.
Holders of NFT fractions can then receive passive income from the implementation of gamification in the museums and galleries in the metaverse simply by holding the NFTs.
Rare City provides immersive learning and fundraising opportunities through its Rare FND platform. It acts as a base for startups and charities to deliver information, demos and answer queries throughout their crowdfunding campaign at rarefnd.com.

The platform also provides updates once the fundraising campaign has successfully hit the crowdfunding target. Venture Capitalists, family offices and angel investors will also be able to have a base within Rare City for startups and entrepreneurs to proactively seek partnerships.
Built on a world-renowned technology stack and powered by leading blockchain technology, Metapolis claims to be the world’s first MaaS platform pioneering the evolution of the next internet.
“We are excited to be able to bring The Rare Antiquities’ vision of making art and antiquities accessible to the world. The sale of marquee pieces of art has always been limited to an exclusive network of enthusiasts. However, the evolution of the metaverse presents an opportunity for disrupting this landscape and making art accessible to everyone,” Mohan Kuldeep Ponnada, CEO, Metapolis, said.
“Our partnership will help The Rare Antiquities to revolutionise art-commerce for good,” he said.
“Making rare art affordable and accessible is the future we look towards when thinking about mass adoption and the trend of brands and industries entering web3,” Sandra Helou, co-founder and chief commercial officer of Metapolis, said.
