Revealed: Arab owners dominate list of the world’s superyachts
With the 2015 edition of the Dubai International Boat Show, the region continues to be a big player for luxury vessels
2. Motor yacht Eclipse comes in second place at 164 metres. It belongs to Russian Billionaire and Chelsea team owner, Roman Abramovich. Eclipse’s total cost is estimated at $500 million, and is believed to have its own missile defence system. Source: Superyachts.com

4. Motor yacht Al Said is a 155 metres motor yacht which was custom built in 2008 for the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said Al Said. Its value is estimated at $300 million. It has a steel and aluminium superstructure and can accommodate up to 70 guests. Source: Superyachts.com
5. Motor yacht Topaz comes in fifth place at 147 metres. Its total cost is approximately $527, and it is the property of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayeh Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE. Topaz features a fitness hall and cinema. Source: Superyachts.com
6. In sixth place is the motor yacht Prince Abdulaziz. At 147 metres, the yacht was inherited by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia after the passing of King Fahd. Today, it serves as the yacht of the Saudi Royal family. Its estimated cost is $184 million. Source: Superyachts.com
7. Motor yacht El Horriya (formerly Mahroussa) is a 145.72 metres motor yacht. It is currently the property of the Egyptian Navy and is sometimes used as a presidential yacht. 8. Previously named “Swift141,” Yas is a 141 metres superyacht that belongs to Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nayhan. It runs on eco-friendly fuel and can reach a speed of 26 knots. Its cost is also unknown. Source: Superyachts.com
9. In ninth place is the 140 metres motor yacht Ocean Victory, the biggest yacht ever built in Italy. Though its owner remains unknown, the yacht is rumoured to have seven decks and six pools. Source: Superyachts.com
