Omar Boflot and MC Zoog emerge victorious.

The regions first dedicated Hip Hop show, Hip HopNa, courtesy of MTV Arabia has announced its first season winners, Omar Boflot from Egypt and MC Zoog from Lebanon. Winners of the judging committee and the people's choice respectively, both Omar Boflot and MC Zoog will walk away with career boosting prizes.

Judges choice, Omar Boflot, who walked away with a 2008 Dodge Charger and his very own music video produced by MTV, was vying for the title against seven other competitors chosen from four cities across the region, Beirut, Dubai, Jeddah and Cairo.

MC Zoog was rewarded with his own MTV music video by the Hip HopNa viewers who took part in Hip HopNa's People's Choice Award, an interactive campaign that let's the audience vote for their favorite Hip HopNa star via text message.

For the show, MTV Arabia had teamed up with high profile producer Fred Wreck as well as Saudi Hip Hop Veteran Don Legend, comprising part of the judging duo for the show's finale.

Of the show's first successful season, Channel Manager of MTV Arabia Samr Al Marzouqi said: "We are very proud of our first season of Hip HopNa both in terms of turnout and interest. It really has taken its rightful place as a venue for youth in the region to express themselves through song and music."

Boflot said: "I have been passionate about Hip Hop all my life and never thought that I would get the chance to showcase my talent on MTV! The fact that MTV Arabia understood that the youth of our region not only had talent but professional aspirations as well, is a true testament to the fact that they understand our needs. The Dodge Charger of course was a great cherry on top."

People's choice winner, MC Zoog said: "I am living my dream through MTV Arabia and Hip HopNa. Hip HopNa has not only given me the opportunity to pursue my passion but has also given me great hope by opening the vote to people. I still cannot believe that I have a fan base that decided to vote for me. I never thought that I would showcase what I love doing on public television through MTV Arabia and today this is happening for me."

Meanwhile, due to the outstanding performances displayed throughout the season, MTV Arabia has decided to help all contestants display their talent through a joint album produced by Fred Wreck and Don Legend. Fred Wreck has worked closely with various international superstars including 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Britney Spears and Dr. Dre to name a few.
