Whether you’re still working from home or back in the office Volkswagen has developed the ultimate work chair.

It comes complete with a top speed of 20kmph, a rear-view camera for seeing an “annoying boss” creeping up behind and built-in horn to beep for attention.

There are no current plans to release the chair in the Middle East with Volkswagen only making a single prototype of the concept by the German automaker to show off its electric vehicle capability.

The result is what may well be the most feature-packed office chair in the world.

The five-wheel chair has a compact removable battery and a reported range of 12.5km. The design and build quality are up to Volkswagen standards, meaning it is sturdy and durable as well as being the only chair in your office with parking sensors for reverse movement, a horn, headlights and touchscreen entertainment built into the arms.

Accelerating and braking are controlled with foot pedals. Office workers who can’t agree on air conditioning temperatures will be pleased to note the Volkswagen office chair concept comes with heated seating built in.

Two-wheel drive and with a compact boot storage area for filing and stationery it has alloy wheels and car-style upholstery.
