The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has identified six typical work patterns for employees in the country.
The work patterns identify and define the nature of the employment and include full-time, part-time and temporary contracts.
The MOHRE took to social media to explain the different opportunities for workers in the United Arab Emirates.
UAE work types
In a statement on Twitter it said: “The legislation regulating the #UAE labour market offers various work patterns, aiming to strengthen the work environment and attract national and global talents to the private sector.”
It went on to identify six work patterns:
- Full-time: Working for one employer throughout all working days
- Part-time: Working for one or more employers for a specific number of working hours or specific working days
- Temporary work: A work completed during a specific period or focuses on a specific work and ends with its completion
- Flexible work: A work whose working hours depend on the volume of work and the economic and operational variables
- Remote work: All or part of the work is performed remotely
- Job sharing: Tasks and duties are divided between several employees to complete the agreed-upon tasks
