Majed Jakka Al Mansoori believes in the vision that foresees people, 200 years from now, looking back at the Museum of the Future still in awe of its timeless formation and its ever-changing narrative. With immense passion for creating ultimate experiences, he sees MOTF as the ideal fit. Championing this unique vision, from design to execution, is a huge part of his role at MOTF.
Majed Al Mansoori is Deputy Executive Director at the Museum of the Future and Head of the Project Management Office at Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Dubai.
Majed leads project management operations for the Museum of the Future. His role consists of selectively assembling a team that takes MOTF from its construction phase to a fully operational phase. He is well-versed in overseeing the setup of systems and policies as well as ensuring the delivery of coherent design concepts, construction works, exhibits, and managing budget control to make certain that MOTF’s structure and its interior meets the required quality standards in a timely manner.
As this project changes the very notion of museums in a completely novel, exciting, and very much relevant way, Majed sees his involvement as a unique opportunity for him to fulfill his aspirations of using his engineering and design skillsets to help realise the vision set out by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Majed takes pride in being part of the founding team at the Museum of the Future. Shaping the narrative, encouraging communities and individuals to build new capabilities and perspectives is also amongst his responsibilities. He believes that instilling a culture of bringing together a diverse range of people and talent and adapting to forward-thinking attitudes will enable MOTF to have a significant impact on the local, regional and international community.
Majed first joined DFF as a Project Manager for Area 2071, an ecosystem consisting of creative young minds, innovative companies, and government stakeholders, who work together to solve the common challenges of tomorrow. His responsibilities spanned across developing commercial, marketing and content plan aspects, in addition to negotiating and attracting talent from all over the world to Area 2071.
As a young professional and an engineer, Majed was always fascinated by design and its power to engage, communicate and influence people and their way of life. He set up his own start-up after embarking on a journey of self-discovery and continues to draw inspiration from an ancient Greek quote: “the unexamined life is not worth living”.
