In line with the decision announced for some other Emirates in the UAE, Sharjah has announced early salaries for government employees ahead of Eid Al Fitr 2023.
The Central Finance Department implemented the directive to enable employees and their families to enjoy Eid Al Fitr.
Employees will receive their salaries on April 18, prior to the predicted date of Eid Al Fitr in the UAE on April 21, with pending announcements based on official moon sightings.
Earlier this week, it was announced that UAE government employees will receive salaries in advance this month, starting April 17, ahead of Eid-Al-Fitr. The directive came from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Last week, the Oman Ministry of Labour (MOL) announced early wages for employees to be given no later than April 18 on account of Eid Al Fitr.
This move is in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Law put into effect by the Royal Decree No. (35/2003).
