Preparations for the spectacular New Year’s 2024 firework display started 10 months ago and organisers promises the biggest, brightest and most colourful display.
It was a promise truly delivered on as the 828m tall skyscraper became the canvas for a mesmerising display of pyrotechnics.
Ahead of the New Year’s 2024 firework display organisers said 15,682 pyrotechnics will be used in the Burk Khalifa show adding that there are 365 strategic firing positions.

Below, at the Dubai Fountain, 22,000 gallons of water will be fired in the air as part of a light and water show which also features 6,600 lights and 6,700 fog nozzles.
The comprehensive plan included closing roads, redirected bus routes, extra Metro travel and a major security and safety operation.

The Dubai Events and Securities Committee said the plan involves a total of 11,972 personnel, including 5,574 police officers, and 1,525 patrols, civil defence and ambulance vehicles.
