Emaar Properties, the Middle East’s largest real estate developer, on Monday signed a publishing contract with Kraken Opus to create the Burj Dubai Opus, which will chart the creation of the world’s tallest building, Burj Dubai.
The Burj Dubai Opus will feature exclusive content and never-before-seen photography. The published collection will include one signature book, to feature a limited collection of different formats, and a select set of publications which will be auctioned for charity.
The Burj Dubai currently stands at 700m and is at the heart of Emaar’s flagship project in Downtown Burj Dubai. On Sunday Saudi-based Kingdom Holding announced it had plans to build the world’s tallest tower which will be at least 1,000m high.
The news comes just days after Dubai developer Nakheel said it was going ahead with a $38 billion development including a “more than one kilometre high” tower in Dubai’s Arabian Canal area.
Kraken Opus’s previous successes include the highly acclaimed Opuses for the NFL, Manchester United, Arsenal and Vivienne Westwood.
Other Opuses due for release over the next 12 months will include Disney, Formula One, Sachin Tendulkar, Maradona and Celtic.
