A guide to the city’s most luxurious iftar and suhoor tents.

1. Downtown Tent: Emaar’s Downtown tent is located in a glass, enclosed and air-conditioned garden at the foot of Burj Khalifa. It will serve iftar for AED195 during the week and AED 225 on Friday and Saturday. As for suhoor, it will cost AED 175 excluding shisha.

2. Al Majlis Tent: Situated in Mina Al Salam in Madinat Jumeirah, Al Majlis tent has indoor and outdoor terraces and live culinary stations. It will serve an international cuisine at iftar for AED 220 per person. Its suhoor is the same price excluding shisha charges.

3. Asateer Tent: With a seating capacity of 2,500 people, Asateer tent is one of Dubai’s favourites. It serves Emirati and international cuisines like Iranian and Indian. Iftar is at AED 195 while suhoor is AED 150 also excluding shisha.

4. Emirates Palace Tent: A pricier tent is that of Emirate’s Palace in Abu Dhabi. It serves an international and Emirati buffet at AED 380 for iftar. Its suhoor is less expensive at AED125 (excluding shisha) with an a la carte menu. The tent also provides live entertainment.

5. Al Yamama Tent: This year being its first, Al Yamama tent is already make noise just by its location; Skydive Dubai in Dubai Marina. Its iftar is an international buffet at AED185, while its suhoor is an a la carte menu that includes shisha. Like few of the entries on the list, Al Yamama offers live entertainment.

6. Mamemo Majlis at the Four Seasons: The tent at the hotel’s first Ramadan will serve iftar for AED 260 and suhoor for AED 190 minimum spend. For entertainment, a musician will play the oud and shisha is available.

7. Kaftan Turkish Cuisine Tent: Loctaed at Umm Suqeim 3 on Jumeirah Beach Road, Kaftan is one of Dubai’s hidden gems. Though its outdoor area has been transformed into an enclosed tent, it usually has views of the Burj Al Arab. For Ramadan, it serves a Turkish buffet for AED 175 for iftar. It’s open for suhoor with an a la carte menu, but has no shisha available.

8. Al Hadheerah: This restaurant at Bab Al Shams Resort in Dubai’s desert has been turned into a Ramadan-themed tent. It costs AED 225 for iftar and includes entertainment such as a live singer and horses show. Though it serves no suhoor, shisha is available after iftar.

9. Khaymat Al Bahar: While this is not exactly a tent, it’s a restaurant in the shape of one. Located at Al Qasr hotel in Jumeirah, Khaymat al Bahar, which translates into “The Beach Tent,” will serve Arabian cuisine for iftar at AED 210. It has no suhoor but offers shisha in the outdoor terrace.

10. Majlis Al Safeenah: Located at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Majlis Al Safeenah is actually a ballroom that functions similarly to a Ramadan tent. It offers an Arabic and international buffet for iftar at AED 195 and an a la carte suhoor for AED 100 minimum spend excluding shisha charges.
