The highlight of the festival is the traditional 60-foot dhow race run over 80-nautical miles.

The 60-foot traditional sail boat race drew 120 boats and over 3,000 sailors from across the emirates.

A record prize money of AED 25 million for the first 100 boats to cross the finishing line and five cars for the first five winners.

The race starts from Dalma Island and will pass by Sir Baniyas Island, Ghasha Island, Um Al Kurkum Island, Al Fatayer Island, Al Bazam Island, Marwih Island, Jananah and the finishing line at Al Marfa Town.

Emirati competitors sail their dhows past Singapore-flagged Bulk Carrier Antlantic Manzanillo.
