Apple unveils its latest laptop, which includes an interactive, adaptable touch strip above the keyboard dubbed the Touch Bar

The 13-inch MacBook Pro features a 2.0 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, 8GB of memory and 256GB of flash storage. The Touch Bar is 60 pixels high and 2,170 pixels wide and changes itself on the basis of the user needs. “It provides all your system functions that you’re used to up there,” said Schiller. “But in a much more attractive, better, adaptable way.” (Getty Images)

Touch ID enables a quick, accurate reading of your fingerprint and uses sophisticated algorithms to recognise and match it with the secure element in the new Apple T1 chip. Both laptops feature four Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C ports, which can all be used for charging. Unlike the latest iPhone, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack but no SD card slots. Apple revealed the USB-C ports replace replace power, Thunderbolt, USB, DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA ports. This latest version does not include a MagSafe power cord. (Getty Images)
